MFD Update – 3/19/2020
The leadership team of Moravia Fire Company has been meeting to ensure we have all the plans & procedures in place to able us to continue our critical service to our community during this global health crisis.
Our primary mission is to Protect Life and Property.
We are following the advice and guidance of Federal, State, and Local health professionals to mitigate any risk of virus transmission to our first responders.
As of today, the Moravia Fire House located at 38 Keeler Ave is closed to the public through the month of April. All outside activities and events hosted at the Fire House through the month of April have been cancelled. Many of our internal activities, meetings, trainings, etc. have been cancelled. Additional precautions are being implemented throughout the facility following NIH, CDC, & DOH established guidelines for disinfection and cleanliness.
If you call 911 for Fire or Rescue, please understand if our manner of handling the situation is even more cautious than normal. You will likely see personnel in protective clothing, goggles, masks etc. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
